For my lace inspired prints I use different types of netting, printed over the top or underneath of my own drawings of flora etc, to create the look of lace behind the design or within.
This is a designer who creates pattern with this chicken wire which he then photographs in different ways...


Whilst visiting the Preston Harris museum I also found..

So i decided to have a go at making my own netting textures. I used relief ink and monoprinted different types of netting such as hessian and plastic mesh etc.

These I have then cropped and repeated in photoshop and exposed onto screens.
